Tuolumne Meadows is one of the most beautiful subalpine meadows in Yosemite. After a long day hiking to Waterwheel Falls, we were exhausted. But the clouds looked promising though, so I pushed through the fatigue and started scouting for a good composition in the meadows with Tuolumne River with a view of Lembert Dome.
The last light of the day put on quite a show. Dramatic storm clouds lit up in vibrant colors, illuminating Lembert Dome and the surrounding high country peaks including Mount Dana in a beautiful orange alpenglow. It was one of those magical Sierra evenings where everything came together perfectly.
This photograph captures that special sunset moment in Tuolumne Meadows when the light hit just right. Bring this Yosemite beauty straight into your space so you can enjoy it all year.
